1950s variety TV special with Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Danny Thomas, and Barbara Perry. Sponsored by Oasis cigarettes, who have a very catchy jingle, and Chesterfield cigarettes. Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra plug the products.
Note: the opening song is a bit splicy. A later part of the program is also a bit splicy. Most of the program is not like this.
A search of TV schedules shows this aired on NBC at 9:00PM on 1 February 1958, aired against "Oh Susanna" and "Have Gun, Will Travel" on CBS, and "The Lawrence Welk Show" on ABC. For those of you lucky enough to live in New York City, you also had the choice of watching the heavily edited 1946 film "The Strange Woman" on WABD (an indie channel since the DuMont Network was long-gone by then), a heavily edited 1947 film "The Farmer's Daughter" on WOR, pro basketball on WPIX (Celtics vs. Knicks), and a thing called "The Perucho Show" on WATV (described in one source as a variety show).
This is a television special....I don't think they do TV specials anymore. That's a shame. There are few references to this special online, though I did find a 1958 newspaper which called it "Big-time all the way".

Dean Martin Show 1958-59
Hi there! Hannah here from PBS. We're working on a documentary on Mae West. I'm searching for an episode of the Dean Martin Show where Mae West & Bob Hope guest starred. The episode aired May 3 1959. You have a fantastic collection. Wondering if you happen to have a copy of the Mae West episode? We have contacted the estates, NBC and numerous TV archives, but no luck so far! Thanks for your help.
